Panam Nagar was once a trading town for cotton merchants, and the street is still lined with their two-storey houses — some restored, many leaning gently into the jungle.
Combine it with the Folk Art and Crafts Museum nearby, which is set in a large park and makes a good spot for lunch in the shade.
Weekday mornings are the quietest. By Friday afternoon the street is packed with photo shoots.
