At its best

Monsoon is when the country is greenest, but it's also when coastal and river journeys are most likely to be disrupted. Check weather warnings before any boat trip, and have a back-up plan.

Hill roads in the Chittagong Hill Tracts can be affected by landslides after heavy rain, so travel by day and leave spare time in your plans.

On the other hand, Sajek's cloud views and Sreemangal's tea gardens are at their most beautiful in the rains.
