Most Dhaka weekenders fly down on a Thursday evening and are on the sand by sunset. If you're taking the overnight bus instead, book a hotel that allows early check-in — you'll arrive around dawn.
Spend the first morning at Kolatoli before the crowds, then hire a CNG or jeep for the drive along Marine Drive towards Inani and Himchari. The road hugs the sea the whole way, and the rock pools at Inani are best at low tide.
On day three, take a speedboat from the 6 No. Jetty to Moheshkhali for the hilltop temple and the fishing villages, and be back in time for an early flight home.
